Location for Amp 245
I've been wondering about the same thing. I started to go with a powered sub under one of the front seats but it just wouldn't clear without intruding on rear passenger foot room. So now, I am going to explore the possibility of mounting an 8" or 10" in the rear window and place the amp itself under one of the front seats.
My Alpine has pre-amp outs for amps and a sub amp. But I feel that the longer I go with the cable run from the head unit to the sub amp, the more opportunity there will be to introduce interference and hum. So I didn't want to opt for a trunk mount method. However, I may be worrying for nothing there.
Oh WAIT!! I just went back and read your total thread. You are working with a wagon and I'm working with a sedan. MY BAD! But I'll leave this post because it may help to encourage more discussion.
