I searched and didn't see where this company had been discovered by the Volvo 240 series crowd.
I am new here on the Volvo forum and a new 240 wagon owner, but I would like to bring over some knowledge I gained from the BMW E30 crowd. I found leather seat covers/upholstery kits offered by a company called Lseat.com out of California. I ordered a complete set for my BMW and I have to say was very impressed. The picture is of one of the front seats that I recovered myself. I see they sell the front seat covers for the 240 series and are only $299.00 like all their other seat covers. These are true leather not vinyl. The 240 seat looks much easier than the many component E30 sport seats. The only negative thing I can say about the company is that you have to be patient for them to make and ship the covers.
I will be ordering a black set for my new to me wagon that the ladies in my house have named Johan..
hopefully you can get those wrinkles out of the backs. when I did seat covers on our 240, using factory-style fabric over the original leather, I used quite a few 'hog rings' to secure them to the bottom edges of the seat frame, and those seat covers stayed right where they belonged.
$299 a seat? Most Volvo owners these days unfortunately get their cars for $150 if not for free and flog them till their last, and are quite reluctant to invest a penny that's not absolutely necessary (some call them cheap); even a nice 240 can be had for a couple of grand. May be some day if and when these cars get pricey...
I found that communication with LSeat.com was marginal at best and the wait time does make you think they have taken your money and run with it. I "eventually" received everything I ordered from them, even the first 240 back seat that they made based on a cloth cover I provided them to use as a pattern. I would use them again and understand that the covers will not ship quickly. I do wish they would use a more "slippery" foam on the inside of the seats, but this isn't a show stopper for me.
Delmetrius... I like the perforated leather on your front seats. Any reason you didn't carry over the same look for the back seat? Now seeing the covers without the piping option I like that much better.
