m46 questions
I just picked up an m46 for dirt cheap yesterday and I had some questions about a swap.
the swap is just into a 740 but it's a Regina car (the flywheel I got has no timing marks, I'll have them machined in.)
the transmission came with the driveshaft flange attached (but cut, unfortunately) it is exactly the same as the auto flange. could I have my driveshaft shortened to do the swap?
is it worth it to rebuild the overdrive while I have the transmission out of the car? the seller got it for free and never used it, so he doesn't know if it works.
what are the measurements for the shifter cage on a 740? the cage I have is from a 240 and I believe I could extend it if I had the measurements.
what would I need to do to use a hydro clutch instead of a cable clutch? do I just need a new fork?
is it ok to run the transmission with the speedo cable cut or should I plug it off somehow.
any answers to any questions would be greatly appreciated!! thank you!
