Hello everyone! I just wanted to ask around to see if anyone has a m47 transmission they want to get off their hands. I have a 1992 Volvo 240 sedan with an M47 transmission. Unfortunately the fifth gear does not work, the previous owner said it blew out. It has not been much fun driving a straight 5 speed without the fifth gear. So I am searching around to find a replacement. Let me know if you or someone you know has one they are looking to get rid of, or where to look for one. I have looked around junk yards in my area (Knoxville, TN) but no luck. Thanks in advanced!

I have one. My niece wrecked her 1992 240. I have not pulled the motor and M47 out yet. The transmission ran great but the shifter was a bit sloppy. I am in Connecticut.

 

I'm hoping he found an M47 by now...that original post was last year.
