MAF questions, on 1983 242 b23f
Hello!
If my MAF is plugged in, car starts fine as normal, but will want to die if I don't work the gas pedal. Probably after around 10 seconds. It will start fine again, but then same stall issue. IF I unplug the MAF it will start and continue to run without dying, however it kind of surges, runs rough, and smells rich. I removed maf and cleaned with mag sensor cleaner and plugs. I let dry and put back together, but no change. Kind of guessing it's bad maf but haven't done multimeter testing at plug, or searched for vac leaks yet. Which I plan to do soon. Thoughts??

Hi Golden,
sorry, didn't completely get the meaning of your reply. Are you saying you believe from explanation of symptoms that you think my maf is shot, that I need a new one, and that a craigslister in GA can supply one? Thanks! Doug
