Hello all i am new here, my name is mike . I have a question for you all , I am checking out a 1987 244 dl n/a w/ 5 speed on craiglist. (Mans other obsession) and i was wondering is that unusual or was it normal for certain models of the 1987 240 models to have an m47 5 speed ? I previously had owned a 1986 245 dl n/a with a roasted m46w/od > my question is, was 1986 volvos cutoff year for the m46 >? also is the first gear ratio higher or lower or exectly the same on earlier m47 I models compared with m47 II models or was the fill/drain holes and aluminum casting the only real change? cheers!
