I bought this car and i've found a lot of peculiar stuff under the hood. Does anyone know where that plug goes into, or what it is? My windshield wipers also dont work and i was wondering if the motor looks correct and not missing anything. And whats the fusebox like thing under it?
I;d appreciate the help, i'm new to volvos and just bought this 90 240 as my first car, and i want to keep it!

 

We will glad to help - but your files don't play easily on a windows cpu. You might try plain old photos.

 

The plug doesn't have to go to anything. Volvo have several of these under the hood. Hard to say from the short clip.
The wiper motor looks OK but that doesn't mean much.
The box you refer to is the diagnostics OBD1 box, tells you what codes are triggered by various driveability issues.
