My 940 Turbo's A/C
I have a 93 940 turbo and when I turn on the A/C it makes the loudest, most embarressing, noise as if the belts were messed up or something but i change them not too long ago and i put some belt dressing on them as well. also i dont hear the noise the whole time im driving just mainly when im accelerating and when the car switches from one gear to the next. does anyone know what else could be the problem?
Most likely the Lower Crank pulley is bad and spinning.
Try marking the inner and outer metal peices. Make one line from inside to outside then drive it and make sure the marks still line up.

Yea i think thats the problem because yesterday i opened the hood while the car was making the noise and i saw that the pulley below the alternator, one was spinning and the other took some time to start spinning. So i guess im going to have to find someone to replace it, do you know how much the whole pulley part will cost, roughly ? Can i just leave it alone and deal with the noise or will something bad happen if i dont change/replace it?
