Need Help with Power Steering
Hi everybody,
Back in August I bought a 1993 940 Turbo Wagon. It's my first car and I love it.
Anyway, this problem started about a month ago. I first noticed it when I drove over a large puddle and my steering stopped responding briefly. I was in a parking lot going slowly so it was no problem and I thought I was just going crazy. However, now that it's gotten colder here it happens much more often. For example, I turned my car on after it had sat all night and drove down my street. When I got to the the end of my street I made a sharp left turn and the wheel turned, then stopped, then turned a bit more, then stopped, then it turned the rest of the way. When this happens it's not like it's hard to steer, it just stops turning (like there's something in the way)then starts again when I turn harder. It alwaysthis when I try to turn the wheelsharply when the car is not moving. Also, it usually happens when it is below freezing or when I drive over a big puddle.
I checked the power steering fluid yesterday and it was really low, so I filled it up.
Any help would be great! Thanks!
