Post Need help trying to figure out how to remove a trunk lock on a 940 gl turbo

I have been on the hunt for a new trunk lock for my 1992 940gl, and long behold i have located one. But the lock is located at pull apart and is still attached to the trunk of a 940 gl turbo i am not sure what year it is. Does anyone know how to remove the lock from the inside of the trunk. I need to know as soon as possible because i am now sure that the lock is still on the trunk at pull apart.

any help would be great as soon as possible......................

Thanks again in advanced for any help i may receive..........

there is a clip that is attached to the trunk. If you look at your trunk lock on the outside of the trunk. look inside the trunk hood and you should see a clip that the trunk lock is attached to you, have to find where the lock is either glued there or something, of that nature. I will post a more detailed description later, my friend told me how to do it so i will ask him, and post how to remove it.

Default Trunk latch removal? How'd you do it?

I've got a 740 and need to replace the latch, before I do, I have to pull one from the junk yard but don't see how to remove the gold plate on the inside holding it in place. How'd you do it?

There a U clip that holds the trunk lock in place Just use a chisel or screwdriver to slide the clip off to free the lock.
Are you talking about the trunk lock or door?
