New to Volvo, question about 240
I am very interested in buying an older 240 and I found this one online.
Maybe someone could give me an opinion on it and what to look for when checking out the car.
Thank you very much!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Really not enough information to give an opinion. Price, service records, etc would be necessary. The motors are the best when properly serviced. I replaced the oil on a car yesterday that had not had the oil changed for 2 years and 1 day. That kind of neglect can cause the best cars issues.
Those are likely the lowest maintenance cars ever built. The only real issue that would concern me other than basics stuff would be if the car still had the bad wire harness under the hood. You will know if you see a lot of bare wires or if the coating on the wires comes off easy with a pinch.

the tan plastic interiors are prone to cracking due to age, first piece to go is usually the cover on the inside of the "B" pillar between the front and rear doors.
the cloth seats are a LOT more durable than the leather ones were (our white+tan 87 is leather).
obviously, that car is going to need a new right headlight ASAP, its badly yellowed, but these are like $100 and 10 minutes to install.
otherwise, what rspi said. look for bad insulation, signs of amateur electrical repairs under the hood. thats pretty low mileage for a 25 year old car, ours is somewhere north of 400,000 miles.
