Default Nitrous

I have an 84 Volvo that is more/less just in the way, so yesterday, I gutted the interior out of it, and removed the A/C, Power Steering, and several other parts from it just to lighten it up. Im planning on taking it the track in the next week or so. I have a nitrous kit, and I am going to use it, but I have a question.... How much can these 2.3's typically hold. Tuesday night is "Import Night" at the local drag strip here, and im wanting to take this turd out there, and beat on it for a while. The gaol for this car is 9.90's or better (but not much better). I think I can pull it off w/ a little shot of juice. I have the pills for a 125 shot, and am not affraid to use em. I'll be trailoring the car down there, and I am certain it will have to be trailored to the junk yard when its over. Should make for a good time. I'll take pics.

I have a buddy running between a 75 and 125 shot on a turbo engine running about 15 Psi of Boost.

You should get some passes with the 125 unless the wrist pins are already slapping. Then you might only get one or two passes before it Blows.

Yes Please take pics and post.

Are you going to run the 1/8 or 1/4?

My buddies best time in his 740 with nos and running 15 PSI in Boost was 12.0 flat.

Awesome!

Our track here is 1/8th mile. I'll start it out w/ a 125 then. I would however think that the turbo motors have better pistons, and lower compression. This motor probably has 9. something : 1.

Update..

Nitrous is hooked up. Made a test pass last night with a 125 shot, (all I had pills for). It held togather! Spark knocked pretty bad w/ the 87 octane. Going to gap the plugs down, retard timing a about 6 to 8 degrees, and put some 110 in it, and try it out again. The car felt a lot better w/ the bottle despite all the noise... I think it will do ok for a minute or 2.

Can't wait to hear what it runs.
Any pics of how you got it hooked up?
