Ok, purchased a 1988 Volvo 240 DL a/t, with no radio, installed a new single din aftermarket radio and new harness, went to start car, no start, radio did not come on, removed radio engine turns over... fails to start, fuses all good including fuel pump near battery any thoughts are deeply appreciated

 

'new harness' ? what exactly did that involve? my guess is some wiring got disturbed.

no starts can be due to lack of fuel or lack of ignition. there's various ways you can determine which one it is. one common failure is the fuel injection relay, which is behind the glovebox.
