Which O2 Sensor?
I have a 90 240DL. I know the one I need is the bosch 13034 (at $100). However, I have heard that the ford bosch 13913 (at $40) is a universal fit and will work just the same...is this true?
Rosy, for this era car, there's really only two types of O2 sensors; 1 wire and 3 wire. 3 wire sensors have a heating element so the sensor will start reading a bit sooner. The real difference between sensors is only the connector. If you do not mind splicing, soldering and heat shrinking you can buy sensors for as little as $25-40. There are 2 different voltage ranges for O2's. Titanias use 10 volts so you don';t want them. Any 5 volt 3 wire will work. You could actually use a one wire but why bother.
