Hello! Apologies for any formatting issues, I’m writing this from the phone.

Does anyone know a good place to purchase original paint shades? I went to a local “Finish Master” and they generated the paint according to the code under the hood in the engine bay and the color is much darker than the original (not from the sun or wear but just an entirely different shade). I can go back and ask them to match the paint with their scanner to my door panel which I may do but I wanted to ask fellow enthusiasts if there’s a reliably accurate online paint distributor that people use?

 

These days using these computerized paint creators is the only way to go. Hard to match from a code though on cars as old as 240 are now. It takes a skilled painter to do an acceptable job.

 

Thanks, I suppose I will try the scanner option. My dad is a skilled painter and said he can lighten it again himself if the same problem persists. Just wanted to verify if there was an official Volvo paint distributor that might have the 240 colors. Thank you!
