Painting Break calipers

Default Painting Break calipers

Yeah so im going to do it to my 91 740. I want to do a good job, and just was wondering if any of you guys have done it. Tips Tricks, and do's and don't's? Thanks a lot.

Make sure you clean then Really good with Brake cleaner or the paint won't go on right.

I painted mine. As Tech says, CLEAN THEM WELL FIRST!!

Apply a coat of 1500degrees spray paint from any auto dealer. Or any paint that is for engines first. Then, apply a coat of any Caliper paint you want.

Mine are green by the way. Haha!

Oh, and one more Q. Did you remove the calipers? Or jsut tape them off.

Covered the areas not to be paited with paper and tape. You could also paint the center of the rotors as well. cutout paper circules and paste them with tape over the rotor.
