Default Please Help...My 240 is doomed to stall

Hi,

I have a 1982 240 dl that has been stalling for the last year. Usually, this happens while I am slowing down. But...she starts up right away. It's getting dangerous (stalling in intersectiions and on exit ramps) and I'll have to get rid of her if I can't fix it. By the way, the car has 120,000 miles and is in otherwise very good shape. This is a list of what I've changed...BOTH fuel pumps, fuel pump relay, idle control valve, cleaned throttle body, and did a tune up. STILL...the car stalls sometimes when it's slowing down. Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

You need to try to get tools to connect to the car and see what you are loosing when it stalls.

It will be either fuel or ignition.

check hose going to fuel pressure regulator. If is is cracked or loose it will stall when you come up to a light or stopsign.
