Please Help. Volvo 240 Passenger Side Brake Light Won't Work.
The scorch mark means it is getting a poor connection and overheating. To solve these sort of issues I removed the metal teeth from the connector and used a needle nose pliers to bend them so they grab the edge connector of the tail light better. This was a more permanent solution than the dielectric grease for me.
This seems to be the problem. Getting really tired of cleaning off, and then reapplying the di-grease multiple times until it finally works, only to stop working a day or two later. I don't see how to pry these up without doing damage. Any suggestions on a permanent solution?
Maybe try a paper clip to use as a tool to bend connector? I have a 4 pc pick set I would try, you get them at any place that sells tools/hardware...Home Depot, probably auto parts store. Or maybe go to a boneyard and get a connector and splice in? If you can find one in your yard...they are hard to find now-a-days.

. I bought a set of picks at Harbor Freight for $4.00, and used the straight pick to get under the scorched metal pin from the side of the connector, and pried it up, now it works!. I'm sure that was the problem this entire time. Thank you very much for the tip.
