Well here I sit with my 1993 940...it was running fine I had just done head water pump belts timing belt and new radiator...the radiator I had received was incorrect and plastic...so I ordered a new one OEM it arrived today...so before it was delivered, I had removed the old/new (that I was replacing) one and did a clean out with water of engine...I should say here car was running fine (I did have some questions about re torquing head)...the one problem I was having was that the fuel gauge was giving me problems work one day then crap out the next (dead)...so while I was waiting for the new oem radiator to arrive (FedEx) I opened the trunk and went into the fuel pump hatch...to see if there were any loose wires..Non...then pulled the drivers side trunk panel and checked the wires no problem there..so I looked under the hood no problem looked at fuses no problem...in the mean time the radiator arrived...and I installed it...then went to start car...turned over but no start, could smell fuel after a few trys...pulled # 1 plug and non spark, but sorta wet with gas and smells like gas...checked everything just can't figure this out...I just sold our other car...and now this for a few weeks is our main car...any ideas as to what the hell I did! it is a 940-non turbo...lot of miles but good compression...I really need some ideas here

 

Very hard to diagnose after having changed so many parts... Obviously something did not get put back together right. Recheck your work!

 

Sounds like you need to diagnose the ingition system as you don't seem to be getting spark. Try this web site and look at the section for diagnosing no-start conditions:
