Progress & Prices
So I'm making progress on Goldie - my recently purchased 1989 Volvo 240DL Wagon.
A previous owner had installed a turbo, off of a 740, onto this non-turbo 240. The job was more-or-less done okay, but upon further research I've learned that there are simply a LOT of things that are not compatible - from injectors to ECU to sensor. Also, I was getting about 16mpg on the highway.
I decided to remove the turbo, and everything associated with it. The car is running MUCH better now.
So I'm looking to sell the turbo, and all related parts. I have no reason to keep them. As such, could you all help me determine approximate values for the following parts?
Exhaust manifold, including turbo. Works fine:
Exhaust system, turbo to tailpipe, in surprisingly good condition:
Inter-cooler & all pipes:
4 green-top injectors - used:
Any suggestions?
Moderators, please feel free to move this to the proper sub-forum!
If any of you are interested in any of these parts, you're more than welcome to PM me.
Thank you!

What about the ecu? Was it running a turbo ecu or a stock ecu? 563, 937, 967 are the main LH2.4 turbo ecu's. The stuff will sell quickly on turbobricks but will eventually sell for more money on eBay. It's a toss up although I prefer selling on TB as the people there know what to expect and there are no eBay fees. These are TB prices at which you will have no problem selling: ecu $35 to 50. Turbo, assuming no shaft play up or down, minimal side to side, Mitsu 13c $50, Garrett/AirResearch T3 $50-75, factory plastic intercooler $25-40, various hoses $30 total, exhaust manifold will depend on whether it is the 90+ version...90+ $50, 89- log variety maybe $25 eventually, green tops $25 -35.
Since the green tops are low resistance versus the high resistance yellow tops used in n/a cars, there shold be a relay pack in the mix somewhere...it'll bring $25-30. All prices are w/o shipping.
I swapped an entire 94 B230FT into my 89 245; I assure you there really is no incompatibility per se. Yes, you need the resistor pack, different ecu, need to extend the amm wiring and some other incidentals. What you are describing is a +T. My real issue w/ those is turboing a tired higher compression, high mileage motor and then flogging it. Done right it isn't an issue; done wrong, it is a PITA so...I think you made the right decision.
