Push button 85 244
So want to bypass using a key for this car at all. I would just like to push a button and have the car start. I'm pretty new to cars and electrical work so please treat me like an idiot.
ugh.
well, the ignition switch is fairly complex. you'll need at least 2 switches, one for accessories, one for ignition, plus the starter button. you would have to always turn on the accessory switch first, then the ignition switch, then press start. switch off both switches to stop the car.
the red wire would go to one side of all 3 of these switches/buttons note this wire is ALWAYS powered (its off the battery directly) so disconnect teh battery terminals before messing with this.
the pink wire thats on switch pin 50 would go to the starter button.
the blue, blue-yellow and blue-red wires that currently go to switch pins 15I and 14R would all go to the ignition switch. the yellow and yellow-black wires on "X" would go to the accessory switch.
these switches and buttons should all be rated for 24V 10A or better.
actually, smarter way to wire it... lets say each switch has a pin (1) and (2)
RED wire to ACC (1)
ACC(2) to IGN(1)
IGN(2) to START(1)
ACC(2) to the yellow wires
IGN(2) to the blue wires
START(2) to the pink wire
this way, the starter button does nothing if the IGN and ACC aren't both on. and the IGN button does nothing if the ACC switch isn't on.
now that I figured all that out for you..... WTF would you want to do this for? you'll RUIN the resale value of the car, AND make it really easy to joyride.

Basically I saved the car from being scraped, it's in a really sorry state. So I'm not worried about resale. But I live in the middle of the woods and me and my buddies are gonna use it for some joyriding in the dirt.
We also lost the keys.
