Default Push button stereo with CD player

I am looking for a stereo radio with CD player that has simple push button operation for my wife's new 1988 240, but am unable to find anything. Everything I see out there is remote controlled and lacks a CD player, or has no push buttons that can actually be used with a gloved hand or 57 year old eyes can see. Any suggestions?

Fortunately or unfortunately depending upon how how one views it, we do not use eBay. Is there an online site other than eBay? Amazon has nothing that looked promising other than a Sony, which is fine, but the buttons look terribly small.

I've been putting Pioneer DEH-X6900BT's in my cars of late. under $100, ... but it looks like they are discontinued :-/

not sure why button size is important, I don't find myself using the buttons very much, stick a CD in it, and it plays, turn the volume up/down with the ****. the eject button is in the upper right corner by itself, easy enough to hit. the SRC button doubles as power off, in the upper left, large enough to be easy to hit (you hold it for a couple seconds to turn off or on, and tap it to cycle between radio->cd->aux->bluetooth->usb)

Preset station button size is what I am referring to. It gets cold here in the north during winter and the super small buttons on these things don't work well with a gloved hand. I have a Pioneer in my truck and it is not user friendly to begin with, and then add the mini station select buttons and it simply is not usable unless I remove a glove. Stupid design choice from where I sit in the driver's seat. Not everyone lives in a warm climate.

I gotta say my radio is always on one station, KPIG-FM 107-oink-5, and if I'm not in my home area where I can recieve it, I'm usually shutting the radio off, can't stand talk radio, or corporate music radio. mostly these days I'm listening to spotify off my phone.

You can always go to any wrecking yard, they usually have plenty of stereos laying around, $20 will do ya...

Lev, I didn't even think of that. Sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious to some. Thanks.

also check out crutchfields.com - they carry mounting kits etc, and a wide selection of head units with notes on what fits - if you want some features like bluetooth or an aux input. If you go recycle yard, check out car-part.com for a list of yards to query. Finally, there's always something used on eBay or Craigslist.

I called the junkyards within 20 miles of where I live and no one had a push button radio with CD player. Lots of aftermarket radios, but nothing with a CD player. Seems CD's have gone the way of the 8 track player. May have to go with something new and deal with the mini radio preset buttons. Seriously disappointed that the makers of this stuff don't consider that many users live in the frozen tundra of the north and need large push buttons.

might I suggest asking for some short finger cycling gloves for a holiday gift? :-) Finding a replacement radio can't be too hard - the car uses a standard single DIN size so there's lots of options. As to brands, Clarion has a reputation for simple face designs with less clutter and small buttons. They were OEM on Hondas and other J cars and you may need to spice in or score a wiring kit.

You don't call junkyards asking for radios. You stop by, and there they are sitting unloved on the shelves along with batteries, floor mats, jacks, etc. These guys are selling $1000 engines and transmissions, they don't want to fool with radios but they have them... I guess it is a skill.

Went to Crutchfield and changed search terms and a Jensen radio popped up. Says it fits, too. Has a PA, but that does not need to be hooked up. Should work just fine and looks to be what I am looking for.
