Default radiators

Are there radiators made specifically for turbos? If you had a regular radiator and did a side by side comparison to one that's being sold as a turbo radiator, would they be similar? It's a difference of about $150, so I just wanted to make sure before I buy.

Thanks,

I guess what I really want to know is if there's a difference in volume. All the connections appear to be the same. Hypothetically, if the hoses going both in and out are the same size, then the capacity of the radiator shouldn't matter, right? I'm just suspicious that the guy is trying to jack me 'cause I mentioned the word "turbo".

Well there is a 2 row and a 3 row avalible for your car.

It might run a Tad warmer with the 2 row but not really enough to matter.

I just had my radiator replaced in my 740 non turbo. Quotes for 2 row were $250, and for 3 row, $350. My 89wagon had a 2 row and the guy did it for $200 even. Hope this helps. He didn't replace the thermostat though so on Tech's advice i did that. It was $12 bucks and the old one was in fact broken.

Well, I doubt boiling water would spew from my motor if I lacka row. I've got a new thermostat and water pump I put in about 3,000 miles ago. I live in a mild climate, and most of my usage is highway or just short trips around a tiny little town. I'll go with the cheaper two row and save the difference for an upcoming turbo rebuild. If something bizarre happens or things start going to crap, I'll let y'all know.

Thanks

I think you will be fine with the 2 row.
