radio schematic 740
I just bought a 1987 740 turbo and also a Haynes manual too. I am replacing a defunkt radio in with a new cd player. The wiring diagram in the Haynes manual does not resemble what I have in the car. The original deck doesn't have a schematic of the wiring.
Since I don't get much time off to work on vehicles, I am wondering if someone can forward me the correct schematic for the radio system so I can try and install the new deck in the car. The local dealer here can't help me out because they don't seem to know much about anything it seems.
Thx

RE: radio schematic 740
Hey onryboy, that radio link was helpful. I just acquired grandms's 745 GLA with a stock radio. No amp. I have what I think is a din radio that is only 6 mos old. Had it installed in an Audi that got totaled. It's a Kenwood. I yanked it out before it went bye bye. Will I need the "kit" to get this new deck in the stock hole?

RE: radio schematic 740
mine has the amp under the steering column. I took it all out. One of the previous owners must have done some mystery wiring because there's wires that are just cut off. kind of a mess.
Thx for the help. I am outa' town currently and stuck on dial up internet, so searching the net is way too slow. I should be able to handle it from here...
