Remote Entry for 244s?
It seems I've seen this somewhere on the web, but I can't find it.
Today I was out at the local "Pull-A-Part" getting some pieces for my DL. The driver's side rear door has had a bad solenoid that has been bugging me so I got one off a donor car. I know that the 240s have one of these on each of three doors but not the driver's door. So I got to remembering that I had seen somewhere that I could put another solenoid on the driver's door to use in a remote entry system.. So I raided an extra solenoid from the donor car.
So please, someone who knows what more I need to have a remote entry system, help me find the needed parts and knowledge. I would love to modernize my old brick with a fob to pop the doors from a distance.

Thanks TJ. In the time after I posted my question, I actually have found some recievers sold in the hot rodding custom car circles. I think one of these will work great. I think that this is what I was looking for all along and I just didn't know what they were called. But again, that extra solenoid that I picked up at the salvage yard is for the driver's door in the '88 240. In stock form, I can pop all the doors with the doorkey but that doesn't require a solenoid for the driver's door itself. My working the key lock opens the driver's door and then all the other doors follow suit.
This makes me think of Volvo's silliness that I've seen down through the years that our family has been driving them. In earlier years, the Old Guard at Volvo seemed to take the attitude: "If we don't build it, it's because you don't need it." That's why our first 164 had power windows in the front and crank windows in the back. lol. It also had leather FACED seats and not completely covered in leather. You have to admit, the cars certainly have displayed a lot of personality over the years.
