My console turned to plastic splinters-expensive plastic splinters. The new one I tried to install also turned to plastic splinters. VERY expensive plastic splinters. I have a used console as a spare, but don't need any more splinters. How DO you install one of these things? Not as simple as it looks.

 

I can't tell you how to install one, but mine just shattered just wiping it off! Can you tell me where you bought your new one? I'd like to get a couple more; sounds like I'll need them.
