Default replacing pads & rotors on 240 - too many choices?

having a hard time finding good info on what pads and rotors I need to order for my 1990 240. Brembo? PBR? OEM Volvo on both? seems like there's lots of options out there...

I'm not looking for performance upgrades, just something that works and will stop me from hitting anything.

suggestions?

J.

All of those are OK brands. Get the best deal.

rotors are pretty much interchangable, as long as you get them from a reliable source like IPD, FCP, its hard to go wrong.

I like the Volvo original pads. they get your front wheels black as heck with dust, but they brake very well, and don't wear the rotors out excessively fast.

ok, so on FCP, I've got a set of PBR pads front & rear, and a set of Meyle rotors front and rear (vented in the front) in my cart. would that be a good choice?

Wagner ceramic pads and any rotor from Autozone or Napa. They are all made in china so it doesn't make a difference. Ceramic pads are almost dustless.

mail order rotors are rarely cost effective as they are so heavy, the shipping cost kills you.

The Best Deal is the cheapest of an acceptable quality brand. I am sure they are priced differently.

And, no, they are NOT all made in China, but the ones made in places like Germany, Italy, etc are pricier.
