Right Speakers Dont Work. Please Help I want to get new System
So I have a 1989 volvo 740 that is still working, and I plan on having it for another year , after which I will buy a new car.
Recently the stereo receiver started to not work, short circuited a lot, display gone. I soldered some of it so it works every once in a while but I am not really happy and I wouldn't mind buying a new receiver.
Also the next biggest problem is the speakers not working. Well not all of them. The left ones work, the right ones dont. When I press the volume **** and turn to the right (achieving only high frequencies) the right ones kick in and start to work. But if its at the normal, where bass and treble is active, the right ones have nothing from them.
I talked to some guys at crutchfield and they said its Either my AMP or my Speakers.
If it is my amp the new receiver will fix the problem, and since the receiver bi-passes the amp it would be fine.
Would anyone tell me what the problem most likely is?
Again if i press the volume ****, and turn right, at high frequencies the right speakers kick in.
It would be great if getting a new receiver will fix the problem. After i toss out the volvo I could put the receiver in another car, etc so thats a good deal. If I have to go and replace the speakers and all its going to be a pain and isnt worth it because I wont be using the car for long.
Thanks and please help I cant drive silent : D
