Default Say no to crack

Is there a way to stem the tide of a cracking dash? It is just a small crack starting from the defrost vent going toward the dash cluster. It seems there are so few with no cracks, I'd like to keep this one as small as possible. I suppose changing the center driveshaft bearing might help it, too. Thanks.

Do that with a carpeted dash cover.

You can also get a plastic glue-on cover to hide the cracks...I installed one and it looked good on another car I had over four years (but to be fair, this was NOT a daily driver so it didn't spent a lot of time in a hot sun). Looked just like the OE dash, however.

To save your present dash, clean it often with a mild soap like Formula 409 or Fantastik. These soaps penetrate a bit and will keep the vinyl supple.
