Started dumping coolent after broke down, don't think it's a crack..drain/freeze plug

Ok so simpler version (I've beenable to feel the leak now that the engines cool'd)

It's right where itfeels like the water pump mates to the engine, seems right about there. is it possible for the gasket/seal to just bust out near idle?

**** I wish there was a simple fix LOL

Sounds like the waterpump is on its way to happier hunting grounds. Replacement not bad "watch the o-ring/gromett seal on top to make sure it does not get pinched". Pump was easy to find at local auto shop, did mine about 1 year ago. good luck.

The pump itself may be ok. There is an O ring that fits on top of the pump where it meets the head, and it goes bad and leaks. I have replaced many of those and left the pump alone. The O ring costs pennies.

thanks guys, by chance does anyone have alil tips on doing that?

I'm going to remove the IC/IC piping for deep soaking and power washing, then the fan shroud and fan, ill also replace the alt belt with the new one.

Do I need to remove the timing cover to work with the water pump?

I'd buy a new pump, they are dirt cheap and no matter what you have to repair, the pump has to come off anyway. Why have teh pain of say a bearing or seal going in six or twelve months and having to go in there again?
From memory, the timing cover can stay on when you do the pump.

Bought the car with all the cash I could save up

Pump == 1 to 2 weeks of down time, I've been doing little jobs with the car and fixing it up slowly, I've been under the hood every day since I bought it so I don't mind doing it again

Ok so I got the IC/Plumbing off, easy!

The intercooler only dripped alittle oil after I let it sit upside down, and then on one side and it dripped just a tiny tiny bit more.... awesome!

Can I just power abunch of water through the ic and let it sit upside down for a few hours to clean it?

Anyways back on topic, where do I remove the clutch fan??? I sold most of my easy to access tools since I gotta get rid of them NONE of my wrenches will fit on the bolts on it

Right where that little tube goes, right by that bolt there, thats where it leaks....
