Slow transmission shift

My 940 wagon is now running much better but with one more problem. It shifts to from first to second fine and third fine but fourth does not shift untill about 3800 - 4000 rpm. Any suggestions. Thanks Gary

Check the fluid quality.If it is dark you might want to replace it.
Also check the tension on the kick down cable and make sure it is not siezed.
