I'm trying to find a good deal on studded snow tires.
What is the smallest to the largest that will fit my 82' 245?

Read the reviews for each tire, especially those for cars like yours (RWD).

In order to widen your choices, use a tire size chart like the one at
http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi
to get alternate sizes with the same revs per mile and load rating. Remember, wide looks cool, but narrow works better in snow.
