Hello! I replaced the bulb on my driver side headlight and when I attempted to secure the locking ring it remains loose. Per the Volvo instructions on page 8 of the instruction manual, I did line up the socket per the instructions. I am not sure what I need to do to make sure the locking ring is secure.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

From experience those bulbs sometimes are a little off even though the numbers are correct so the ring cant quite lock into place.

 

I now have bigger issue, while driving my 1994 940 it stopped and would crank but when I put it in gear it would not move. I called a tow truck, while waiting for the tow, I started it again and was able to almost make it home. It seemed as if it was its death throes. It started long enough for me to get it off the street. Hoping it will start and I can limp home.
