I have been looking for an aftermarket cruise control for my ’92 240 b230f, manual transmission, electronic gauge cluster ie. no speedo cable. I found one manufacturer. When asking whether they had anything for my car they asked what type of speed signal my car has. I have no idea. Does anybody know?

Why an aftermarket? I believe you can add a Volvo OEM CC much more easily and even cheaper. Just get the whole set up from a wrecking yard or some used parts retailer. A ton of those are sold on Ebay, among others.
