Default Freeze plug trouble V90 (posted in July 2010)

So, I am having a few issues with my 98 V90 wagon (has 187000 miles). I love this car and recently found out my full time job op went bad...so I'm trying to do as much of this myself with some help. I've had a medium slow anitfreeze leak for about a year--my brother tested the pressure and said it isn't the head gasket--don't have any sweetness in the exhaust either. Replaced a couple hoses, which didn't fix the slow leak. I just kept adding more antifreeze every couple weeks. When it broke down, the coolant light came on, although the temp didn't go into the red. When we pulled off the road, the car was running fine, but was steaming under the hood. Once I got out of the car and looked down, I saw a pool of antifreeze pouring out onto the road. I had it towed home and called the local dealership, where they had not heard of a freeze plug, which worries me a bit about sending it there. My brother is going to try to help me fix it, but I wonder if anyone has tips on where the freeze plugs are in my car and whether they are accessible without special tools or major parts removal!
I also had the cruise stop working mid-set a couple weeks ago, if anyone has tips on that. Thank you!

There are several things that you can do. I would check the spark plugs. Take one out and see if they are not too dirty. Sometimes they don't fire the way they should. Another thing that can keep it from starting is the gas not getting to the injectors or carburetor. If this is the case check the gas filter. One last thing that came to mind is the age of the gas. If the car has not being operated for a while, the gas gets old and looses it's power. I hope this can help.
