Default strut mounts oem or aftermarket

I'm going to put in some Sachs/Boge strut inserts in my 92 240 with 190K. I'm thinking I better replace the strut mounts too. Any opinions on the meyle brand on fcp groton? They look decent and are about half the price of OEM Volvo strut mounts. They also have a URO brand that is really cheap and looks it from the pics.

Plus 1!! Two things come to mind to bite the bullet on...strut mounts and motor mounts. Unless you want to spring the coin for poly motor mounts...go genuine Volvo. The diesel mounts are much stiffer for high power motrs but again, the after market diesel mounts suck! I bought a set for my 245 and the passenger side mount sagged from the get go.

Ok, OEM it is. But, at 190K, is it a given they need to be replaced? I took a look at the strut mount tops and there are no cracks in the rubber. I have no symptoms of a failed strut mount. Car tracks fine and no funny thumping noises.

Suspect that the bearing is as much a potential problem as the rubber. At 183k my left side failed. You could not turn the bearing by hand. Since you will have it out with the strut cartridge replacement, and can stand the down time, see what it looks and feels like in your hands. Replaced with OEM based on recommendations from several Volvo boards. $73 v. $45 a month ago.
