Default strut question

When you change the struts do you have to put the spacer in. and also does anyone know where to get replacement cant think of the name. the plate on the top side of the engine you tighten the bolts down on once aligned. I don't want to go with a strut brace just want something a little beefier.
thanks

Default RE: strut question

If you're talking about the strut mounts, it is not always necessary to replace them. If they are worn to the point of allowing the top of the strut to move around or if you can hear the the struts banging into the strut tower when you hit a bump, then yes, replace them. Once you have replaced the struts and/or mounts, go to a good shop and get a front end alignment.
