Default Suddenly no sunroof

Hi,

I have a nice 1993 940 turbo, and yesterday I wanted the sunroof open. I hit the switch, nothing happened. The roof has always worked in the past, but I did notice that the switch hesitated the last couple of times, I had to hit the button a couple of times before it worked.

Do I need a new switch? The fuse is intact, that is if fuse #10 is the right fuse.

Thanks,
Tim.

I will bet it is a bad switch.

I changed the switch with a new one, but it hasn't solved the problem. I also tried to open the roof manually, but the crank won't turn, it appears to be locked in place. Any suggestions?

Something might have gotten jammed.
How exactly did you try to open it manually?

I removed the panel on the ceiling, and there is what appears to be a crank shaft with two notches. I tried turing it with a pair of needlenose pliers, but there was no movement.

You might be able to stick a screwdriver in there and get it to turn.
There should be a little pin type thing in the center. That has to be pushed in then it might turn for you.

BUT BE VERY CAREFUL TRYING TO TURN IT.
