Unhappy Sunroof troubles

My sun roof on my 1995 940 opens, but does not close. Well, it does but only after a long period of playing with the switch and trying to pull it out. My dad thinks it may be jammed, I think it could be a problem with the motor. How can I fix this?

Guys, believe it or not, the #1 fail point is the switch itself. Not saying other, more complicated stuff doesn't fail also...just saying the switch itself can get dirty inside. Often times, hosing it with brake cleaner or contact spray will revive them. Other times they're stone dead. Be sure to remove the switch before spraying 'em.

Sounds easy enough. I'd like to try and do this tomorrow, but I'm not sure how to remove the switch without damaging it. Sorry I'm no good at this stuff, any help would be appreciated.

The entire switch is a snap-in affair. You can pry it out at top or bottom with a small pocket screwdriver or a sturdy pic. There is a 6" pig tail on the back w/ a connector.
