Default test pipe for volvo 740 non-turbo

I have a 1988 volvo 740 2.3L SOHC non-turbo. Does anyone know where i can buy a test pipe for it? Is there a website?

I have been looking all over and i can not find it.

Thanks

I think it's a catalytic convertor replacement. It makes the cat into a straight pipe. I saw some on ebay a few years ago. Here's one, but it's for a turbo: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VOLVO...Q5fCarQ5fParts

That claim of how they might not be legal to sell in the future has been there for at least 4 years.

well, its illegal to install on any highway car in most states. and unless your converter is really fouled, its not going to improve the exhaust flow any, Volvo uses a very high quality converter with good flow.

I saw that one on ebay and asked a question about it but it is only for turbo models. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get one for non-trubos,/

I have the original cat on mine now with 298K and it is clogged and has no power. In my state they don't emission check cars over 20 years old.

I figured i would put in a test pipe because it is cheaper than a cat and i don't have to worry about it clogging again.

Yes, its cheaper to pollute your environment.

any muffler shop should be able to weld up a piece of pipe.

Or bust the guts out of your old cat. My plan is to eliminate my cat someday since my state's rules are like yours. I'm planning on stainless 3" system from the turbo back.

those of you who intentionally bypass your pollution control systems on your daily drivers, could you please route your exhaust to the driver side airvents? thanks, bye.
