Default Thank you all !!!

I've experienced an intermittent stumbling/stalling in the past week in my 93 940 wagon (169k miles). I suspected that the new fuel pump (Regina) that I installed a few months back was NFG, or possibly the fuel pressure regulator was faulty, because the car did stumble prior to the fuel pump dying.

After reading several posts with similar symptoms, I found one that suggested the CPS, not the fuel pressure regulator. The poster suggested that the CPS was a wear-out item on these cars. ( I can't find that post for the life of me now, regardless of what search words I use).

In any event, I pulled the CPS out (never disconnected it), cleaned it off, ran a fine file across the metal tip to remove some rust, reinstalled it, and the car runs fantastic !!!

Soooo . . . thank you all for your valuable insight--you guys are great !!!

rust on the tip shouldn't impact the IAC, its a magnetic pickup. however, removing it and reinstalling it may well have made the electrical connection happier.
