Default Thermostat question

I have a 93 940 and it just runs different when the ambient temperature is above 90 to 105 F. Would I be wise to go to a lower temperature thermostat? Also what is standard temp Thermostat?

Standard thermostat is 89 C. Easy enough to change.

Ask before buying, the Volvo OE parts come with the seal around the 'stat, others may not.

The reason for Tech's question, if the engine temp (as indicated on the dash gauge) is proper, it should run the consistantly once warmed up.

I'm curious, what do you mean by "it just runs different"?
