Throttle body kickdown cable retraction
Do you know what retracts the throttle body kick down cable? Mine does not retract (well), and it may be related to the Check Engine Lambda Light I am getting as soon as the car is warm.
I have a 1995 940 fuel injection turbo, with engine B230FK, apparently made for the Swedish market. So I have a OBD2 port, but am not finding a diagnostic reader for it.
Last November, the car started to experience trouble. It was too cold to work on it, so I just now started working on it. I replaced as much of the vacuum hoses I can find, with these red silicon kind. My problem is that my car is still getting a Check Engine Light on the dashboard, as soon as it is warm, and I am not able to retrieve the code. And then I see that the Kick Down cable does not retract, and can even get stuck on the mounting nut for the throttle body.

Have you experience this before, and could these two issues be related? What exactly draws the kickdown cable back? Is there a valve or something else on the other end?

Sorry, That has nothing to do with your check engine light.
