Throttle Body question
How difficult is this to get to?
I've heard that Volvo's that are randomly stalling may need their throttle body cleaned.
If I removed this would I have to make new adjustments or readjust anything when I put it back?

A year model and make of the vehicle would be helpful here as the procedure is a little different depending upon the year model vehicle you have. It is easy to get to and yes it will require adjustments once you have cleaned it out.

Hey fellow Volvo driver,
I drive a 740 turbo, and had cleaned my throttle body and as i can recall it's quite simple. disconnect the negative connection to battery, vacuum hoses, accelerator cable (this is connected to the mechanism which rotates the throttle plate within the body), the throttle position sensor connection, and of course the elbow hose from the pipe leading from the intercooler or airbox. after this there are three bolts to un-screw, be careful not to drop them as one or two are in somewhate difficult positions. after these are off the throttle body should come off, and as far as i've read and good Volvo ownership replace the paper gasket (or any for that matter) where applicable.
