Default Timing Belt Replacement

I got the parts in from IPD to replace the timing belt and the water pump on my 240. I have an automatic transmission, am I going to hate life if I do this without the special tool to hold the crankshaft? Is it worth $48 plus shipping. I need to go ahead and replace the flame trap so I am going to order one of those anyway.

I bought one from a mechanic for $20 and since I have several volvos I use it a bit. It makes changing one easier but $48 is well.... I feel your pain. Does anyone know where to get one cheaper?
