I can kick myself for doing this but i did manage to lose my transmission bolts. or i hid them from myself really good. The car is a 88 240 with what i believe is the m45 or m47 5 speed manual transmission. Just replaced the clutch. I did manage to secure and install the pain in the neck, top two bolts which is the larger of all the transmission bolts. The ones that i am missing are the two side and two bottom bolts. I do have the massive starter bolts so i don't need those ones. Just want to know if anyone has any specs on these particular bolts, whether they are specialty hardened or just something i can just pick up at the hardware store. This is a fantastic forum and have gotten a wealth of useful info that has gotten me out of a pinch on more than one occassion. Thanks in advance for any help and if anyone wants to reply to tell me what a moron i am i can deal with that too.

 

it happens... if you are near a pik-n-pull type place, that's your best bet... or some old volvo shop where they have 240s rusting in the dirt and don't mind helping you out...
