Default Trunk Hydraulic Lifters

Is their any way to repair these or do you always have to replace them?

They honestly haven't been working for years and I can't even remember back when they *were* working. I just got used to it.

I know I can buy them online or through the dealer--I was just wondering if anyone's figured out a way to fix them themselves.
