Urgent Help Needed With Tie Rod
on the picture in the link. on the left side is the end or the rod that connects to the power steering. its a female end and i need to know how to unscrew it to replace it before my car rattles apart. i have a 1989 volvo 240 gl any special tool or trick to takeing it off. i saw a small hole on it so i dont know my thought is to slap some vise grips on it and give it hell any help would be very nice

there should be a couple of flat spots on the inner tie rod. use a combo wrench to hold it and then use an adjustable crecent wrench to grab onto the outer tie rod and twist. if its stuck, lubricate it with a penetrating oil. don't forget to mark how far it goes on before you remove the original part. when you reinstall, you can get the alignment close.
