Verify ABS or not on 1990 Volvo 740 GL wagon
The manual is vague whether this particular wagon has an anti-lock braking system or not. When I turn the ignition key "on," there is no light at No. 3 position, the location of the ABS light. There must be some way to hard ID this. Thanks.
Thank you, again. I wish I could find the invoice from the last time the brakes were repaired, because I have to wonder how another mechanic would know that this vehicle may or may not have ABS, and, hence, what rotors it needs. I'll look in the morning. I should look under the Power Steering Reservoir area? I should have asked.

Well, a mechanic or anyone can tell easily if there is ABS... The ABS module is in front of the strut tower. The Volvo models of that gen especially may have one of several brake systems thus the confusion with parts, could be frustrating especially as they age...
