Default Volvo 240 Panhard Rod Orientation

I am currently working on replacing my rear suspension bushings with new polyurethane bushings. I just removed the Panhard rod and burned out the old bushings but when going to replace them I realized I couldn't tell which way the panhard is supposed to screw back in to the car. There is a longer side to the rod and a shorter side separated by a small angle close to the middles (like a very flat V shape). Does anyone know which way the Panhard rod goes back in. It's just the stock Panhard on a 1992 240. Does the Long side of the rod connect with the axle or with the car body? Thanks!
